What is a pallet shrink hood used for?
The hood protects goods on a pallet against moisture and dirt in transport and during storage. It is put on the palletised load from the top, so you do not need to wrap the pallet with film from a roll.
What film is the hood made of?
Shrink wrap film, transparent or white: you choose the colour when ordering. After putting it on, shrink the hood with a heat gun so that it fits tightly to the load.
What size of hood should I order and how much does it cost?
We make the hood to fit your pallet, up to approx. 3 × 4 × 3.5 m. The price depends on the dimensions and the film thickness, so we give it on request: click “Enter dimensions for a quote” and enter the length, width and height of the load including the pallet. How do you put a hood on a pallet?
Pull the hood over the load from the top so that it covers it down to the pallet, then shrink it with a shrink wrap heat gun. You can additionally tape the edges of the hood at the pallet with shrink wrap tape.
